I am honored to be the principal at a school I once attended. I was born in Camden and I am a proud graduate of Camden High School. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Education from College of Charleston, a Masters Degree in Instructional Accommodations from Francis Marion University, and a Masters Degree in Education and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. This is my 16th year in Education.  My experiences include teaching kindergarten through third grades, as well as being an assistant principal. This is my 8th year as an elementary school principal and I love enjoy second of it! My greatest love is being a wife to a fellow educator and mother to four little people, two of which are PTH Bullpups!

My name is Cody Strong and I am thrilled to be the Assistant Principal at Pine Tree Hill Elementary.  I am a proud product of the Kershaw County School District.  I graduated from Winthrop University in 2007 with a B.A. in History and then from Gardner-Webb University in 2015 with a M.Ed. in Executive Leadership.  I began my teaching career at Rock Hill High School where I taught Social Studies from 2008-2016.  I was also a baseball and swim teach coach while at Rock Hill High.  In 2016-2017, I was at Kelly Mill Middle School where I was also a Social Studies teacher and I was an Assistant Principal at Lugoff Elgin Middle School from 2017-2021.

I am married to an absolutely wonderful woman who is also a Kershaw County graduate and we have two sons, Jake and Grayson.  I am a huge Clemson fan and my personal interests include woodworking, hunting/fishing, and spending time with my family.  It is a dream come true to be able to be back in Kershaw County and I am looking forward to working with the students, faculty, and community here.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.  Thanks and let's have a great year!
