Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Pine Tree Hill Elementary, home of the BULLPUPS! We are looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year as we focus on the theme- WE ARE ONE: One School, One Culture. We are excited to work together as a team of students, staff, parents and community members to create an environment where collaboration and teamwork becomes an essential component to our school success. We look forward to listening to your ideas and vision for our school and collaborating with each of you to support our sense of community here at Pine Tree Hill. It is our goal for our families to feel welcome and connected to our school family. We believe that this will lead to improved student achievement, better behavior, better attendance, higher self-concept and more positive attitudes toward school and learning.

We encourage you to stay connected to your child's teacher this school year. Please become familiar with class expectations and procedures, join their class Dojo, check communication folders, encourage students to listen and be respectful, and ask questions or schedule a conference if/when needed. We also solicit your involvement in our school's Parent Teacher Organization (P.T.O), Student Improvement Council (S.I.C) and our Bullpup Parent Universities. Your role as a parent is critical to your child's success!

Please take a moment to review the contents of this handbook. It is important that you are well aware of our school policies and procedures. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns (803-425-8970). We welcome any questions or ideas you would like to share.

Although we are new faces to Pine Tree Hill, we are both natives of Kershaw County and look forward to continuing our work to enrich the lives of students in our community. We are committed to making this year a SUCCESS!

With Bullpup Pride,

Markeita Warren Barber, Principal
